Hi everyone, and welcome to the Outpost Eden forums! It's great to have you here, and I look forward to getting to know all of the new members over the next few weeks and months, and hopefully years! Please use this thread to say hello and to tell us a little bit about yourself! I'm Chen, the group owner. You'll be able to find more information about my characters on my wiki profile soon. I've been a fan of Star Trek since I was about 12 years old - one of my friends twisted my arm to go and see Generations at the cinema, figuring that it would be right up my street. And they were right! My favourite TV show is Deep Space Nine (that's favourite Star Trek show AND favourite TV show period!) I particularly enjoyed watching the characters grow over the course of 7 years, as well as the region they were in and the assorted bad guys and guest stars. I've been involved in play by email RPGs for somewhere around 16 years, and I've been a gamesmaster online and over the tabletop for about a decade, so in theory you're in safe hands! My door is always open if you want to get in touch - please feel free to drop me a PM! Over to you!

Hi all!
My name is Kody, and I will be simming for the character Adam Haase, a Betazoid (hopefully Engineering) officer. I love simming, in fact I just love writing in general. Yet, even moreso is my love for Star Trek. I fell in love with Star Trek when my father, a trekkie, laid out the Next Generation in front of us to watch after school. The adventure and often mystery was so intriguing, and when we got Star Trek: Voyager - I became even more hooked! Right now, I am 17 and a Junior in High School. I hope to eventually get a degree in Computer Science. I love swimming, biking, and playing various computer games - the most recent of which has been Star Trek: Elite Force II (I know, a goodie!!). I can't wait to get started simming, as this seems like such an amazing group. Let's go, Chen!
Now to you, next person!

Hi everyone,
I'm Kristen and I'll be simming for Velana, a Vulcan doctor with a lot of bad Human habits, as she was raised with the v'tosh ka'tur, or Vulcans without logic. I haven't gotten to write for Velana in a few years, so I am very much looking forward to seeing what she's up to these days. Im also very happy to be writing with a group of Star Trek fans again:)
I will also be working on the podcasts which is great because talking Trek is one of my favorite things in the world!
See you all soon!
Kristen

Hello folks!
I'm Jonathan and I'll be writing for Kaitlyn Falcon. She's the newest in a long line of Falcon characters, and probably the most fun character I've ever written. She's decidedly rough around the edges, but that's part of what makes her interesting! She's a helm officer through-and-through, and I always aim to make flight sequences interesting to read.
I've been a Star Trek fan since TNG, which remains my favorite series of the show. I've been into PBEM RPGs since 1998, playing off-and-on depending on school/training/Navy time requirements.
I'm about to make a pretty big change, getting out of the Navy and going back to the real world, so the next few months will be pretty hectic, but regardless I'm looking forward to writing with you all!

Hey guys! I'm Allan and I will be writing Kaedyn Zehn an intelligence officer. I've been involved in PBEM Star Trek fun off and on since about 2000 and have played lots of different duty posts (I think most except engineer). My most recent extended absence came after my husband and I adopted a small human and all the insanity that followed. Glad to see so many familiar faces. Really looking forward to get started again Allan / Kaedyn Zehn

Hello everyone . My name is Sylvie, and my first language is French. I've been involved in Star Trek pbems since the early 2000, as I find this type of writing ideal to develop my knowledge of the English language. I'll be writing for the same character I've used those past few years: Brek, a Ferengi with a diplomatic streak .

Hello all!
I'm Xon, and if my application is accepted, I'll be RPing as....Xon.
Xon is an egomaniac Vulcan/Romulan hybrid who was the science officer of the Starship Intrepid during the 23rd Century, and I've decided to bring him back for Outpost Eden as a cantankerous old-aged civilian scientist. I hope that you all enjoy interacting with him.
As for me, I've been writing Xon and many other characters since about 2007, but mostly on play-by-forum games. I've been root admin and story moderator of Star Trek: Starship Intrepid for eight years. Chen was good enough to invite me to join up here even though I've never done PBEM before. It might take me a little while to get used to it, but I'm eager to get to know you all and curious to find out if any of us have ever simmed together before!

Hey My name is Bill, I just joined as Ian West, I have been simming for a very long time, mostly as Guy Hunt, then to Ian West or Baylen Anders. But this place looks awesome and the design is so amazing. I see a few faces that I know and a few that I know of. I really look forward to seeing Eden growing into the Utopia that it can be for a great many long years. :-)

Hi y'all!
My name is Amanda and I will hopefully be simming for Kherys Harper, a half betazoid who I hope will be a fresh-from-academy medical officer. I know a couple of you guys from SB118 (waves) and don't know some others. I've been simming since 1999, mostly Pern pbems, but also Amber, Vampire the Masquerade, Dresden, Star Trek, as well as unique pbems. I enjoy writing, but even more, I enjoy writing with others. Actually, if you count the role playing talkers I used to play on, I've been simming since 1996/97. :-D In fact, it was on one of those talkers where I met my husband, WAY before online dating sites! :-D
In real life, I have three kids, two cats, and a wonderful husband who isn't really a Trek fan, but puts up with me anyway. I look forward to simming with y'all!

Thanks for checking in everyone! It's great to find out a little more about you (there's information here I didn't know about even the people I've written with before!) and I'm looking forward to seeing more introductions over the course of the next week!

Ohai, it's Mike-- I played Dueld taJoot back on the Vigilant. I've only simmed a short time in comparison with many of you, a little over a year, and that was a couple of years back. Plus I'm suuuuuuuuuper old, so, you know, be patient and stuff.
I applied with another Catullan engineer (not Dueld, but you may not notice a difference unless I become a much better writer.) However, I notice that we have applicants for both engineering and ops, my default choices, so if I need to morph Hanse into science or something I will. Just be aware that if I end up in security there's going to be a lot more comedy than you were maybe aiming for.

Heya everyone!
I play Ilyazi Malon, and it looks like most of the crew from the Vigilant are teaming up again! Nice to see some old faces (or at least writing styles!) and new alike, and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in character!
I've been a trekkie since...I was old enough to understand what Star Trek was?? I grew up with it, and it stuck with me. I've always loved writing, and I had been doing PBeMs on and off for about three years before taking a break from it for a while. Now I'm back, and ready to write :-)
